Maurene is the WA Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) State Director and Certified UFO Field Investigator, as well as a member of MUFON's Experiencer Research Team (ERT) a separate group for 'experiencers,' people who suspect they may have experienced a close encounter or abduction. She founded and facilitates the monthly Olympic UFO meeting (OUFO) in Port Townsend, WA. Maurene Morgan was appointed State Director in June 2017.
Maurene graduated from the University of Iowa with a B.A. in Communication Studies and worked for many years as an editorial assistant on a university philosophy journal.
Tim Ward is the WA Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) Assistant State Director and Certified UFO Field Investigator since 2015, Tim was appointed Assistant State Director in June 2017.
Tims background includes service in the Navy for six years as a Machinist Mate and four years in the Air Force as a fire fighter. He was a pilot in the Civil Air Patrol Search and Rescue for seven years and a squadron commander for four years.
Tim owned a fixed-base operation for three years and managed another before moving to Washington in 1999. For the past ten years, he has worked as Security at the Silver Reef Casino/Resort near Ferndale in Whatcom County.
Tim receives numerous sightings ranging from the Strait of Georgia to the west, Canada to the north, and Mt. Baker/North Cascades National Park to the east.
Dan is retired from the Air Force where he was a fighter pilot and a test pilot. Following his flying career he was the Director of Test for the F-22 program and finally Director of Test Resources for the Air Force.
He spent his retirement as a small businessman in Walla Walla and is now re-retired. He has been a member of MUFON since 2017 and Chief Investigator since 2018.
Walt joined MUFON in 2018 and is State Section Director Seattle.
He likes interviewing the witnesses about their sightings and researching supporting data.
Prior to MUFON Walt volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, Sofia, Bulgaria.
Walt retired from many years of mortgage banking and brokerage.
He graduated from University of South Florida majoring in Economics.
Sue Countiss retired as a Physical Scientist, where she worked in Radiation Safety for 27 years. Sue was a member of the National Registry of Radiation Protection Technologists from 1982 until retirement working in both the Nevada Argone National Laboratory and New Mexico WIPP site.
Sue joined MUFON in 2012 and became a Field Investigator and State Director in Las Vegas, NV. (2017) as well as State Section Director in Washington State.
Aleta DeBee is State Section Director for Southwest WA. Aleta has been a MUFON Field Investigator since 2009 and a member of the Experiencer Research Team since 2015.
She is a graduate of Kent State University, majoring in Communications and Education.
She believes the Experiencer is the real key to disclosure and to the future of humanity.
David Gordon is State Section Director and Field Investigator for Snohomish County.
David is a full time family practice physician. He has a MS in Physics from California State University and has a Part 135 commercial Pilots' License.
Al and his wife Jo moved to Port Townsend from Wisconsin 17 years ago. His interests include music performance, reading, golf and MUFON. He is a Certified Field Investigator and State Section Director.
As a UFO investigator Al uses his skills gained from graduate-level degrees in psychology and counseling with his interest in the unknown.
Kathleen Wyer is a State Section Director, Field Investigator II, and Experiencer Research Team (ERT) member for South Puget Sound, Washington.
Kathleen’s passions are rock art, fossils, archeology, rocks, and minerals. She has traveled to Egypt, Greece, Mexico, Guatemala, Jamaica, and Belize studying and photographing ancient sites.
She has done her share of research through the United States too.
She has a graduate degree in Education and Communication and is the Webmaster for WAMUFON.org
